Betty O. Payseur

Mrs. Payseur was a graduate of Belmont High School. She retired from RL Stowe Mills with over 40 years of service. She was a lifelong member of Goshen Freewill Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School, sang in the choir and was an active member of The Sunshine Group.

She was a member of The Eastern Star and served as Mother Advisor for Rainbows.

After retirement Mr. and Mrs. Payseur enjoyed spending time together, especially traveling via cruise to Alaska and Hawaii.

Mrs. Payseur was preceded in death by her loving husband Willie J Payseur, her parents Edgar and Anna O’dell, her brother Jim O’dell and her sister Katie Stowe.

She is survived by her sister Ruby Crews of Belmont, daughter Sherry (Michael) Cariens of Lexington, SC, her son Stephen (Kelly) Payseur of Hinsdale, MA and grandchildren Christopher (Jessica) James, Zac (Leslie) Cariens, Stephanie (Tom) Sullivan, Stephen Payseur, Darby (Nate) Baum, Madison Payseur, Patrick Payseur, and great grandchildren Tyler Hardee, Stephen Payseur, Trey Payseur, Weston Baum and Liam Sullivan.

Mrs. Payseur was happiest when involved in her church, music and family activities. She lived her life for God and will be greatly missed by all.

Visitation will be held from 12:00 pm until 1:00 pm on Monday, May 3, 2021 at Goshen Freewill Baptist Church with a service to follow at 1:00 pm. Burial will be held at Hillcrest Gardens Cemetery.
