Bernice M. Posey

Ms. Posey was a native of Sumter, SC and the daughter of the late Barney Silvester and Ida Wise Moore.

She was a homemaker, and a loving wife, mother, grandmother and was devoted to her church and family.

Ms. Posey was member of First Free Will Baptist Church.

Ms. Posey is survived by a son; Gary Posey and wife Ruth Jane, two daughters; Sonja Poole and husband Floyd, Nancy Mayne, three brothers; James Moore, Roy Moore and Henry Moore, a sister; Faris Costner all of Gastonia, seven grandchildren; Dawn, Robin, Tonia, Cindy, Ginger, Keith and Lu-Ann, fifteen great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; Calvin Keith Posey, three sister; Nita Wood, Blanche Baucom and Audrey Beaver.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm prior to the service at the church.

Funeral services will be 12:00 PM Saturday at First Free Will Baptist Church with the Rev. John Gibbs and Rev. William Calvert officiating.

Burial will follow at Gaston Memorial Park.
