Austin Jacob Grant West

Austin Jacob Grant West, age 4 of Mooresville, NC went to be in the arms of Jesus on Saturday April 4, 2015 at his home. Austin is preceded in death by his brother Jason Alexander Medlin that went to be with Jesus in 2012. The two brothers are now running and playing together in Heaven. He is also preceded in death by his Maternal Grand Mother: Rhonda “Nannie” West; Paternal Great Grand Father Morris Jones, Great Great Grandmother Sarah Louise Lowrance and Uncle Danny Lowrance.

Little Austin Jacob was a HUGE fan of and collector of Spiderman and was like all innocent children who loved playing while having fun and had a broad imagination.

Austin is survived by his loving family beginning with his mother Lacey West, his father Jordan Knox and wife Destiny Murray Knox; sister: Natalie Marrs; brothers: David Medlin, Dominic Treylyn Knox, Skilyn Young and Nolen Brown. Maternal Grandfather: Jeffery “Paw Paw” West; Paternal Grand Parents: Leslie “Maw Maw” Knox, Fredrick Lynn “Pop Pop” Knox and wife Angie; Great Grandmother: Brenda “Nana” Jones; Two Aunts: Ashley “Ice Cream” Cozart and Cherish Laster. Four Uncles: Jordan West, Josiah “Uncle Jo Jo” Knox, Jerrod Hargett, Andrew Arnold.

Funeral service and A life of Remembrance for Austin will be conducted on Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at 1 p.m. in the Chapel of Carothers Funeral Home at Gaston Memorial Park with Pastor Tim McCarns to officiate. The committal service will follow in the Garden of Peace at Gaston Memorial Park.

Pallbearers are: Andrew Arnold, Josiah Knox, Fredrick Lynn Knox, Jordan West and Jarkevious Byrd.

Visitation will be held on Monday April 20, 2015 from 6-8 p.m. at Carothers Funeral Home at Gaston Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations be made to an account managed by: Jeffery West, P.O. Box 2051, Gastonia, NC 28053. Those who wish to send flowers and other gift’s, Spiderman was Austin’s favorite Marvel Character.
