County, South Carolina, and graduated from Newberry College to pursue a career in electronics. As a
man with a strong intuition about the inner workings of electronics he would rather fix something than
replace it.
Arthur was a fair man known to help others. He treated everyone well and believed in service above
self, always applying the Golden Rule. He was a good provider for his family and loved growing his
own garden, vegetables from the "Garden to the Grill." Arthur also served his country
proudly and was a United States Air Force Veteran. But more importantly he was a man of God who
loved his family dearly. As a good father, this is how Arthur influenced his son and set the example that
helped to shape his sons life and career.
Arthur was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew Cook and Louise Bouknight Cook and his only
brother, E. M. Cook.
Those who are Left to cherish their memories of him are his wonderful wife of 45 years, Ruby Banks
Cook; his son and daughter-in-law, David and Karyn Cook; the apple of his eye, his grandson, Evan;
and his three nephews.
