Annette (Wike) Fisher of Gastonia, and formerly of Stanley, went to her heavenly home on Tuesday October 6, 2020 after a short illness. Annette was most recently a resident at Brookdale on Robinwood in Gastonia, Annette was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a Christian and a member of Craig Memorial Baptist Church. She will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved her.
Annette is preceded in death by her husband, Larry B. Fisher and her son Jason C. Fisher. She is the daughter of the late Mary Elizabeth (Deal) and Poley Wike. Brothers Clyde, Jack, R. D., Harold and Junior Wike, also precede her in death.
Left to cherish their memories of Annette are her daughter, Kelly (Fisher) Lackey and husband Thomas and granddaughter Catherine Lackey of Knoxville, Tennessee, and son Wesley S. Fisher of Raleigh. She leaves behind her sister Jeanette Austin and brothers Sam and Billy Wike.
A celebration of Annette’s life will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday October 12, 2020 at Hillcrest Garden Cemetery, 1508 Charles Raper Jonas Highway, Mount Holly. Her nephew, Pastor Nathaniel Austin, will offer words of encouragement and hope to family and friends that gather to remember Annette. Nathaniel Austin, Greg McAlister, Doug Fisher, Brownie Fisher, Jeff Fisher and Franklin Wike will serve as pallbearers.
