Ann Davis

Born in Gaston County, she was a daughter of the late Rayford G. and Maude Sanders Wentz. Mrs. Davis was a member of Dilworth Baptist Church and was retired from Qualex, Inc. after 36 years of service. She loved shopping at thrift stores and going to the beach. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, and frogs. She was a very precious mother and loved her children dearly.

Mrs. Davis is survived by two sons, Ronnie Hargrove and Ricky Hargrove; two daughters, Susan Stewart and Melanie Barberree; five grandchildren, Heather, Ronnie, II, Carly, Nicholas, and Dallas; two great grandchildren, Hailey and Iain; a brother, Roger Wentz (Levera); a sister, Margaret Lingerfelt; many beloved nieces and nephews; and her precious dog Chipper. She was predeceased by a brother, Paul Wentz; a son-in-law, Joel Barberree; and a brother-in-law, Coyte Lingerfelt.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at 12:00 PM at Carothers Funeral Home at Gaston Memorial Park with entombment to follow in Forest Lawn West Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM at the funeral home prior to the service.
