Bill Smith of Gardendale, Alabama, passed away at the age of 63. He served in the US Coast Guard. He was retired from the US Department of Justice at the US Attorney’s Office. He enjoyed coaching Girl’s Fast Pitch softball in Gardendale.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Stephen Scott Smith, Sr. and Vivian Gertrude Crumley.
He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years Elizabeth (Beth) Smith; daughters, Jennifer Smith Helton, Jessica Smith Tyler; grandchildren, Madeline Helton, Peighton Tyler, Danielle Tyler; brothers, Gerald Ralph Smith, Stephen Scott Smith, Jr.; sisters Virginia (Ginger) Smith Tunnell. Along with a host of other family and friends.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, April 19th, 2015 from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel.
