Virgil Andrew McClendon, beloved husband and father passed away on Monday, February 21, 2011 at the age of 84. He is survived by his wife Dorothy Jean and daughter Teresa Lynn. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II, was a lifelong member of Brooklin Masonic Lodge #704 and was retired from CSX Railroad. He was the beloved uncle of Dixie McAdams (Larry); great nieces Danielle Johnson (Kevin) and Delayna Mullins (Randy); and great - great niece and nephew Adley and Kade. His funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 24, 2011 at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel with burial Oakwood Memorial Gardens.
