SMITH, SR., THOMAS H. age 81 of Gardendale passed away Sunday, December 4, 2011. He was a member of East Gardendale Baptist Church, retired from Roadway and a U. S. Marine Corps veteran. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Kathryn Smith; daughters: Cindy House, Darlene (Ronald) White and Renee (Ricky) Gibbs; son, Thomas H. Smith, Jr.; seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; sister, Frances (Rick) Thomas. His funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 8, 2011 at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel with burial in Oakwood Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Ridout's Gardendale Chapel is directing.
