Sue W. Archer

Sue W. Archer, age 82 passed away on Monday, May 23, 2016. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother who was very much loved and will be greatly missed. Sue was a long time resident of Gardendale, AL and was a member of North Gardendale Church of Christ. She retired as an accounting clerk with Sears Credit Central. Sue was preceded in death by her husband, James Douglas “Doug” Archer; parents, Bethel A. Watts and Lucille W. Watts; brother, Jerry Watts and a sister, Ruth Stidham. She is survived by her son, Jim Archer (Lisa); daughters, Pam Chafin (Buiel), Kay Burns (John), and Teresa Adaway (Steve); brother, Bethel Watts, Jr.; and sisters, Zoe Ard and Debe Ard; her grandchildren, Tamara Harris, Shannon Bonniella, Adam McDuffee, and Amber Thomas; great grandchildren, Tyler Bonniella, Logan Bonniella, and Jake Thomas.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday evening at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel from 5 until 7 PM. Chapel services will be held Wednesday at 2 PM and followed by burial in Oakwood Memorial Gardens.
