Stanley B. Smith

Stanley B. Smith, 88 of Gardendale, AL, passed away peacefully on June 9th, 2017. His kindness, love, compassion and strength were evident in his daily life. Heaven is gaining a most wonderful angel. He was born in Birmingham, AL, on February 10th, 1929 to the late Mr. and Mrs. John Comer Smith. Mr. Smith served in the US Army during the Korean War.

Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his two brothers Richard and Allen; a granddaughter, Sheri Walker Morgan.

Mr. Smith is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Marianne Branham Smith; his sister, Betty Smith Bethea (Harold); his son, Kirk Smith (Laura); his daughter, Donna Walker; grandchildren, Maria Smith, Kim Cutler (Steve), Kelly Haynie (Billy), Bill Walker; many great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 11th, 2017 from 12:30pm until 2:00pm at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel with a graveside service at 2:30pm at the Marvin’s Chapel Cemetery, Pinson, AL.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his honor to the charity of your choice.
