Shirley Glasscock, age 84, of Gardendale, Alabama went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 5, 2023. Shirley was born to the late Ezra and Nelma Gorman on December 6, 1938. She was a devoted member of North Gardendale Baptist Church. Shirley loved her dear pup, Patches and spending time with her family and spoiling her grandsons.
Shirley is preceded in death by her husband of over forty years, Talmadge "Dalton" Glasscock; her son, Talmadge "Duke" Glasscock Jr.; and her parents Ezra Gorman and Nelma Belcher Gorman. She is survived by her daughter, Sonja Martin (Larry); her grandsons, Nicholas Ross (Kaitlyn) and Christopher Martin (Karly); her great grandsons, Keegan and Korbin Ross; her sister, Peggy Tumlin; her brother, Larry Gorman (Linda); and her sister, Joyce Byars.
The family will receive friends on Friday, December 08, 2023 from 12:00 to 2:00 pm at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel. A Celebration of Life Service will begin at 2:00 pm at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel with burial immediately following at Oakwood Memorial Gardens.
