Sheila Ann Jones

Sheila Ann Jones of Fultondale, Alabama a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, colleague and friend passed away on Tuesday, August 15 at Saint Vincent’s Hospital in Birmingham. She was 76 years old.

Sheila was born September 27, 1946 to William Edward Jones and Lucille Daniel Jones of the Calcedonia Community in north Gardendale who have both preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Sherry Jones Harper and Pauline Catron Walker and brother, Edward Jones and nephew Clarence “Butch” Jones. She is survived by her nephew, William Harper and a close and loving family from the Jones, McCleney and Daniel families. These nieces, nephews, cousins, colleagues and friends meant the world to her and she loved them immeasurably.

Matthew 11:28-30 - Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

A visitation for Sheila will be held Friday, August 18, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel in the Fireside Parlor, 2029 Decatur Highway, Gardendale, AL 35071. Following the visitation will be a graveside service at 1:00 PM at Crooked Creek Cemetery, 1670 Sardis Grove Circle, Gardendale, AL 35071.
