Rosie Lee Myrick

Rosie was a loving, caring wife and mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and great grandmother. She had a huge and never turned down an opportunity to help someone. Rosie also loved her Lord and Savior very much.

Rosie was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Kenneth D. Myrick, Sr.; parents, Luther and Esther Layton; a brother, Donnie Layton; a sister, Veralane Martin; and a grandson, Jeffery A. Garrett, Jr.

Rosie is survived by two sons, Kenneth Myrick, Jr., and his wife Donna, and Bobby Myrick and his wife Kathy; two daughters, Vickie Little and her husband Gary, and Laurie Franks and her husband Eddie; one brother, James Layton and his wife Sue; one sister, Edna Hodges; seven grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren; thirteen great-great grandchildren; many other family members and friends.

Pallbears will be Rosie’s great grandsons: Austin Gigandent, Cory Gigandent, Tyler McDonald, Ryan McDonald, Braden Morris and Kyle Myrick.

A time of visitation for family and friends will be on Monday, February 25, 2019 at 1:00pm at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel followed by Celebration of life services at 2:30pm. Burial will follow in Oakwood Memorial Gardens, Gardendale, Alabama. Service will be officiated by Pastor Paul Sims.
