Ronald D. Foshee

Ronald D. Foshee, age 83, died early Saturday morning on September 24th, 2022. In many ways, Ron left this world the same way he impacted it, with his wife Betty by his side. Ron and Betty were married for 65 years and spent much of that time investing into the lives of others while serving as the pastor for churches in both Mississippi and Alabama. He is survived by his wife Betty Foshee, his daughter Elaine and her husband Randall Rice; his son Alan and his wife Ann Foshee; and his daughter Lee Ann and her husband Jason Conger. Ron is also survived by his 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

During his 58 years as a Baptist pastor, “Brother Ronald” leaves behind a legacy of caring for and ministering to the needs of countless families, friends, and communities. With a heart for others, Ron and Betty enjoyed life through giving the light of God’s Love to those around them. Many are the hearts and souls touched by that light who will miss Brother Ronald as he goes to be with his Lord and Savior. Let us focus not upon what we have lost, but upon what he gained in his passing.

A visitation for Ronald will be held Wednesday, September 28, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel, 2029 Decatur Highway, Gardendale, AL 35071. A funeral service will occur Thursday, September 29, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel.

Ronald will be laid to rest in Flat Rock Cemetery, Crane Hill, AL.
