June 21, 1961 – August 19, 2015
Richard a resident of Hanceville, AL, passed away peacefully at his home at the age of 54. Richard loved to take care of his family and friends and he truly loved animals and his dogs Galileo, Jackster and Ellie Mae.
Richard is survived by his loving wife, Nancy Logan Burkett; his father, Charles Burkett; mother, Elva Cucunato; sons, V.J. Murray (Megan), Dillon Murray; daughter, Brittney Blackwood Edwards (Bobby); brother, Michael Burkett (Peggy); grandchildren, Calder Murray, Kinsley Murray, Tyler Alexander and Noah Edwards; many other family members and a host of friends.
His services will be held at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel on Friday, Aug 21st with a visitation from 1:30 – 2:30pm; funeral service at 2:30pm followed by his burial in Oakwood Memorial Gardens in Gardendale.
