Rebecca “Becky” Ann Smith, age 68 of Gardendale, AL passed away on Monday, October 6, 2014. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother who was very much loved and will be greatly missed. Becky was preceded in death by her husband, Norman W. Smith; and her daughter, Wendy Smith Buchanan; father, Lawrence Sims; and mother, Irene Sims Gay; and a brother, Danny Sims. She is survived by her family, her loving companion for over 13 years, Bobby Lee Gray, Sr.; her sons, Kyle Smith and Zach Smith; her daughters, Stacey Smith Fuller and Kelcy Smith; a sister, Betty Woener; and brother-in-law, Richard “Rick” Smith (Rosemary); her grandchildren, Wesley Smith and Joseph Buchanan; great grandchild, Caison Hatcher; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and many friends.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 9th at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel beginning at 2 PM with a visitation from 12 Noon until service time at 2. Interment will follow in Oakwood Memorial Gardens.
