Reba Faye McCurry, age 73 of Mt. Olive, AL was born on January 25, 1940 and passed away Monday, July 29, 2013.Faye owned and operated Faye’s Famous Franks in Fultondale for over 25 years. She considered her customers as neighbors and close friends, many were like family to her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ruby and Clyde Graham; her husband, Paul Gowins; and a daughter, Pat Uhl. She is survived by her loving family, her husband, Marvin McCurry; sons, Eddie Gowins (Jackie) of Moody and Richard Gowins(Catherine) of Bremen; step sons, Dwight McCurry of Warrior and Stephen McCurry of Hamilton; sisters, Jean Lynch (Gene) of Fultondale, Joanne Belcher of Mt. Olive, and Betty Littrel (Greg) of Mt. Olive. Sister-in-Laws, Vivian Beasley, Delsie Lawson, Martha Lawrence, and Jean Fuller; grandchildren, Shannon Burton, April Bishop (Josh), Kristi Butler (Chris), Tiffany Gravlee (Ryan), Jerrod Gowins, Daniel Gowins, Tyler McCurry, Matthew McCurry, and Shaun Uhl (Dedie); nine great grandchildren; and many nieces nephews, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 31st, at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel from 5 until 8 PM with funeral services on Thursday at 11 AM. Interment will follow in Oakwood Memorial Gardens.
