Born April 29, 1928, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 21, 2012.Pauline was a longtime Pastor’s wife, former organist at First Baptist Church in Tarrant, and faithfully served the Lord all of her life. She was an avid bowler, loved music and working with children, a wonderful ballpark mom and home maker, and adored her children, grandchildren, and great grand children. Pauline was preceded in death by her loving husband, Reverend J.T. Roper, Jr.; parents: Paul and Rebecca Barrett; and her brother, Charles Barrett. She is survived by 2 sons: John P. Roper (Patricia) and Charles T. Roper (Lisa); her daughter, Rebecca R. Adams (Larry); 10 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and 4 nephews. Visitation will be held at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel on Sunday, June 25, 2012 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, with funeral services on Monday, June 26, 2012 at the funeral home beginning at 10:00 AM. Burial will be in Walkers Chapel Cemetery following the service.
