Michael Edward Haney, a resident of Birmingham, Alabama, was born in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee on September 28th, 1958 and he passed away in Alabaster, Alabama on December 22nd, 2017 at the age of 59. Mike graduated from Woodlawn High School with the class of 1977 and he was employed as a Technician with Maclean Power Systems. He was a member of the Sons of the Confederacy, Birmingham Chapter. He enjoyed the outdoors, and he was a real entrepreneur and loved to trade. He was a wonderful family man whom loved his family dearly and cherished the time he was able to spend with them; he will be greatly missed.
Michael was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Haney; step father, Neal Spruell; and his daughter, Shellie Nicole Haney.
Michael is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Sheila Haney; his son, Michael Haney, Jr.; mother, Jimmie Faye Spruell; a brother, Shane Spruell; a sister, Sadonna Adams; two grandchildren, Chase Haney and Payton Haney, and a host of friends and family.
Services will be held at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel. A Celebration of Life visitation will be Wednesday, December27th, 2017 from 5:00pm until 8:00pm; funeral service on Thursday, December 28th, 2017 at 11:00am followed by his burial in Oakwood Memorial Gardens, Gardendale, AL.
