Mrs. Burnette retired from AT&T and a member of Gardendale First Baptist Church.
Mrs. Burnette was preceded in death by her parents, William and Emma Ray; her husbands, O'neal Roberson and after his death she married, Joe Burnette; sisters, Elvena Higgins and Demoval Alexander; a daughter-in-law, Lisa Roberson.
Mrs. Burnette leaves behind two sons, Richard Roberson (Amelia) and Russell Roberson (Domino); grandchildren, Kimberly Tyler (John), Amanda Wiggins (Daniel), Lance Self (Lauren), and Seth Self (Kayla);great grandchildren, Laci Self, Lynleigh Self, and Everleigh Self; extended family members, Beth Sandlin, Judy Morgan, Doug, Crystal, Bryce, and Bryan Stephens, and many friends.
Celebration of life services will occur Monday, January 27, 2020 at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel, 2029 Decatur Highway, Gardendale, AL 35071 with a time of visitation beginning at 1:00 pm; service at 2:00pm, followed by her burial in Oakwood Memorial Gardens, 2100 Moncrief Road, Gardendale, Alabama 35071.
Family request that in lieu of flowers donations be made to American Cancer Society, St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, or the Greater Birmingham Humane Society.
