Mary Evelyn White

Mary passed away on May 4, 2023, at the age of 88. She lived in Kimberly for 55 years. She lived a full life as a wonderful grandmother, mother and mentor. She loved to garden and loved spending time with her dog Chase. Most of all she loved her family and friends. She will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Tullia and Ruby Alexander; her husband, Eugene White; children, Kenneth White and Charlotte Sanders; brothers, Glenn Alexander, Enoch Alexander, Lawson Alexander, Lamar Alexander, and Douglas Alexander; sisters, Wilma Hubbard and Marjorie Roberts.

Mary is survived by her daughter-in-law, Janice White; son-in-law, Rickey Sanders; sisters, Martha Tucker and Marilyn Harris; a brother, Michael Alexander; grandchildren, Monica Stockton, Anna Maria Burns (John), Jessica McCay (Jason), and Kenneth White (Heather); great-grandchildren, Bryant Frost, Kristen Donaldson, Rachel Burns, Bailey McCay, Kentley White, and Cruz White; several great-great-grandchildren and many friends.

A visitation for Mary will be held Monday, May 8, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel, 2029 Decatur Highway, Gardendale, AL 35071, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM. Mary will be laid to rest in Oakwood Memorial Gardens, Gardendale, AL.
