Marie N. Osborn

Marie Nichols Osborn, age 100 was born September 23, 1917 in Gardendale, AL and passed away on Wednesday, January 10, 2018. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother who was very much loved and will be greatly missed. Marie was a longtime member of Gardendale First Baptist Church where she played the piano and organ for many years. She was also a member of the Eastern Star.

Marie was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar D. Osborn; step-sons, Ed Osborn and Clarence “Buster” Osborn; step-daughter, Margaret Beasley; granddaughters, Leah Nicole Osborn and Shea McCall Osborn; Daughter-in-law, Carolyn Osborn; mother, Roberta Brindley; and brother, Charles Nichols.

Marie is survived by her son, Nicky Osborn; many grandchildren and great grandchildren, including a special granddaughter, Ann Marie Osborn; and great grandchildren, Demi Shea Suttles and Cohen Nichols Hopper; also special friend and caregiver, Annette Underwood.

Services will be held on Sunday, January 14th at 2 PM at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel with visitation one hour prior to the service, followed by her burial in Moncrief Cemetery, Gardendale, AL.
