Margaret Ellen Phillips

Margaret Ellen Phillips, age 88, of Morris, Alabama was born November 10, 1932 in Bessemer, Alabama. She went to her heavenly home on Wednesday, April 7, 2021. Her devotion to family and firm belief in God provided her peace throughout her life.

Known as "Jackie" to all her friends and family, she was loved by all who knew her. She spent her entire life in service to others.

Jackie was preceded in death by her parents, Wade and Carrie Ledbetter; her first husband of four years, Norman Headrick; her second husband of 60 years, R.D. Phillips; four brothers, Ed, Bud, Wales, and Tom Ledbetter; and two sisters, Audry May and Bobby Grimes.

Jackie is survived by her three children, Larry Headrick and his wife, Karen Headrick; Velva Headrick Tiller and her husband Paul Tiller; and Carol Phillips Mathews and her husband Walt Mathews; one sister, Betty Hobbs and her husband Mel Hobbs; five grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.

A graveside service for Margaret will be held Friday, April 9, 2021 at 12:00 PM at Hopewell Road Church of God of Prophecy Cemetery, 8100 Hopewell Road, Bessemer, AL 35022. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that memorials be made to Hopewell Church of God of Prophecy.
