Lorene Parker Hinkle, of Gardendale, AL, was born in Cullman County, AL, on June 20, 1928 and she went home to be with the Lord on July 7, 2016 at the age of 88. Lorene was a member of the Pineywood Baptist Church and attended the Ruth Sunday School Class and she loved and considered the sisters in the class as her family. She was a devoted wife and mother, she loved spending time with her family, and considered her friends she loved so dear as family.
Lorene was preceded in death by her loving husband, Edward R. Hinkle; her parents, Henry Parker and Pearl Casey; sister, Jean Casey Greathouse; and a son in law Glenn Ray.
Lorene is survived by her son, Allen Hinkle, Sr. (Sandy); daughter, Glenda Hinkle Ray; brother, Leon Casey; grandchildren, Craig Ray, Allen Hinkle, Jr., and Jerad Hinkle; great grandchildren, Kyndall Hinkle, Gracie Ray, and Kyler Hand; nieces, Debbie Alexander and Jan Elliot; nephews, Ricky Hinkle, Mike Hinkle, Terry Casey, and Chris Casey; other family members and a host of friends.
Services will be held at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel on Sunday, July 10, 2016, with a visitation from 1:00pm until 3:00pm; funeral service at 3:00pm followed by her burial in Oakwood Memorial Gardens, Gardendale, AL.
