Linda Weaver Woods of Mt. Olive departed this life on January 10, 2024 and began her life in heaven. She was born on December 4, 1956 in Birmingham, AL, the fourth child of Tommie and Margie (Lipscomb) Weaver.
She was a 1975 graduate of Ensley High School. She retired from the United States Postal Service.
Linda enjoyed traveling with her husband and family. Her three grandsons brought her so much joy and love. She was a beloved wife, mother, Grammy, and friend. She never met a stranger, her warm smile always made everyone feel comfortable and welcome. She remembered everything and everyone and rarely went anywhere she did not know someone.
She is preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by the love of her life, best friend, and husband of 48 and a half years, Billy Ray Woods; one daughter, Lisa Woods Williams (Doug); one son, Steven Ray Woods (Elise); three grandsons, Luke Ray Woods, Ethan Andrew Harris, and Jacob Matthew Harris; and a host of friends who will greatly miss her.
A visitation for Linda will be held Sunday, January 14, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel, 2029 Decatur Highway, Gardendale, AL 35071, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM.
Linda will be laid to rest in Oakwood Memorial Gardens, 2100 Moncrief Road, Gardendale, AL 35071-2374.
