Linda A Piteo

Linda Ann Townes Piteo, age 68 of Gardendale, Alabama passed away on January 23, 2024. She was born to the late Robert Townes, Jr. and Dorothy Townes on January 10, 1956. Linda was a devout member of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church and a lifelong devout Catholic. Family and faith were her passions; she loved being Mimi and creating memories with her five grandchildren and studying more about her faith. Linda could always be counted on to take a trip to the beach or a day of finding the best bargains shopping.

She is preceded by her father, Robert Vernon Townes, Jr. and her mother, Dorothy Cluster Townes. Linda is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Robert James Piteo, Sr.; her three sons; Robert James Piteo, Jr., Adam Lee Piteo and his wife Maralyn, and Brian Todd Piteo and his wife Amanda; her five grandchildren, Drake Piteo, Connor Piteo, Owen Piteo, Kabrie Piteo, and Brinlyn Piteo; her siblings, Robert Vernon Townes III, Susan Townes Carter, Gary and Debbie Townes, Chris and Sherrie Townes, and Janice and Steve LeSueur.

A Rosary Service for Linda will be held Friday, January 26, 2024 at 6:00 PM at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 334 Main Street, Gardendale, AL 35071. The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 27, 2024 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church with a funeral mass beginning at 12:00 PM. A committal service will occur Saturday, January 27, 2024 at 1:30 PM at Oakwood Memorial Gardens, 2100 Moncrief Road, Gardendale, AL 35071.
