Lena Marie Reeves was born in Blount County, Alabama on January 21st, 1921 to the late John and Ida Black. She lived much of her life in Gardendale and she was a current resident of Demopolis, AL. She went home to be with the Lord on May 9th, 2015 at the age of 94. She loved her family deeply and enjoyed her time she spent with them. Other preceding her in death was her husband, James W. Reeves and a son, James Milton Edge.
Lena is survived by a son; Stan Reeves (Cindy) of Demopolis, AL; four grandchildren, Angelia Moore (Jason), Darryl Reeves, Jacob Reeves (Shoshana), and Katie Reeves; five great grandchildren; many other family members and a host of friends.
Services will be held at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel in Gardendale, AL, on Wednesday, May 13th, 2015 with a visitation beginning at 10:00 am; funeral service at 11:00am followed by her burial in Oakwood Memorial Gardens, Gardendale, AL, with the services officiated by Rev. Roy Bivens.
