A resident of Mt. Olive, AL passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday at the age of 83. Lee served in the U.S. Army, retired from U.S. Pipe after 30 years of service as a machinist and was a passionate member of Mt. Olive Alliance Church.
Lee was preceded in death by his parents, Lee Nathaniel and Edith Cargile Wade; sisters, Phyllis Jean Mahaffey of Trafford, AL, Audrey Schraeder of Dennison, IA, and Johnny Barnett of Macon, GA.
Lee is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Ethel Louise Wade; daughter, Donna Wade Hare (Johnny) of Mt. Olive, AL; son Jack Wade (Maxine) of Fultondale, AL; sisters, MaryAnn Wells of Hayden, AL, Christine Young of Seabrook, TX, and Jewel Gray of Tallahassee, FL; brothers, James Henry Wade of Mobile, AL, Larry Wayne Wade of Roberta, GA, and Michael Williams of Panama City, FL; 7 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
Services will be held at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel on Monday 3/17 with a visitation from 1:00pm until 2:30 pm with a funeral service at 2:30 pm. Interment will follow the service in Oakwood Memorial Gardens with Military Honors.
