Katie B. Motte of Warrior, AL passed away Monday, October 9, 2017 at the young age of 98. She loved life and lived it to the fullest. Katie was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother who was very much loved and will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Willard “Jack” Motte. Survivors include her children, two daughters, June Mayfield (Steve) and Betty Vail (Jim); a son, Jacky Motte (Betty); her grandchildren, Crystal Day, Chip Motte, Shelly Vail- Smith, Jennifer Harris, Jacque Motte, Tonya Motte, Jon Paul Motte, Logan Motte, Jason Motte, Jonathan Motte, Jessica Motte, and Jana Motte; also, fourteen great grandchildren.
A visitation will be held Tuesday evening at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel from 5:30 to 8pm followed by services Wednesday, October 11th at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Warrior beginning at 2 pm with burial in the adjoining cemetery. Dr. Sammie Reid will officiate services.
