Jonnie G. Rose

Jonnie “Joan” G. Rose, of Fultondale would have celebrated her 100th birthday in July, passed away on Monday, May 22, 2017. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother who was very much loved and will be greatly missed. Mrs. Rose enjoyed her Open Door Sunday School Class at Gardendale’s Mt. Vernon United Methodist Church where she was a longtime member. She was preceded in death by her husband, George William Rose; great grandson, Connor Hill; a brother, Calvin Lee; sisters, Betty Miles and Evelyn Ramsey; and a nephew, Sonny Miles. She is survived by her son, Randall Rose (Sandy) and her daughter, Sylvia J. McKelvey; six grandchildren, AngeLee Leonard (Danny), Rainey Becnel (Mark), Butch Rose, Patrick McKelvey (Betty), Cindy Hill, and David Rose; great grandchildren, Kody Leonard (Sonya), Anthony Cacibauda, Kory Leonard, Mason Hill, Austin Rose, Jessica McKelvey, Kelsey Leonard, Aiden Becnel, Cole Hill, and Gabriel Rose; great-great grandchild, Emma Leonard; a niece, JoAnn Riley; nephews, Durant Ramsey and Bill Miles.

Services will be held on Wednesday, May 24th at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel at 11 AM with visitation one hour prior. Interment will follow in Oakwood Memorial Gardens.
