John Tony Anthony Tidwell

John Anthony Tidwell, better known as Tony Tidwell, age 50 of Gardendale went to be with our Lord and Savior on Saturday, January 14, 2017. Tony was born on August 17, 1966 to John H. Tidwell and Brenda Puckett Tidwell. Tony was a longtime Team Leader at Kamtek. He truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures such as playing baseball and riding his motorcycle. Tony had an uncanny ability to make people laugh, and was always in high spirits. He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Judy Tidwell; his daughter, Jennifer (Jason) Guthrie; five grandchildren, Keelie, Kaylee, Mattie, Mary Beth, and Carlie Beth. Tony was also survived by his father, John H. Tidwell; mother, Brenda Armstrong; brothers, Donald Shay (Alisha) Tidwell and James Armstrong; a sister, Angela Hicks; his in-laws, Joyce and Boyd Sutherland; and a host of close family, friends, nieces, and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday evening, January 18th at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel from 6 until 8 PM. Chapel services will be Thursday beginning at 11 AM and followed with burial in Oakwood Memorial Gardens.
