John "Johnny" Ashley Sorenson, age 61 of Fultondale was born December 30, 1952 and passed away on Sunday, June 29, 2014. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon Sorenson; his parents, John Houston Sorenson and Gem Nell Sorenson. He is survived by his loving family, his brother Houston Stanley Sorenson of Nellysford, Virginia, and his nephews, Alexander H. Sorenson and Jeremy C. Sorenson. Johnny, an avid fisherman and shrimper in the Gulf of Mexico was always known for his willingness to help a friend in need.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 11:30 to 12:30 with a graveside service to follow at 1 PM in Walker’s Chapel Cemetery in Fultondale. “May God rest his soul and provide eternal peace.”
