John Henry Smith 96 of Morris, Al. went home to be with the Lord on July 5, 2023.
John was a retired vocational teacher of Broward County Florida. He loved to sing Southern Gospel songs and to build things.
John was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his beloved wife of 44 years Charlotte, children Donette (David) Crowe, Leah (Kenny) Jordan, Monna Smith, 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
A visitation for John will be held Saturday, July 8, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel, 2029 Decatur Highway, Gardendale, AL 35071, followed by a funeral service from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM. Reception to follow in The Fireside Room at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel. Rev. Donald A Leavins will be officiating.
