Jimmie Rodgers Garner

Jimmie served as a Task Sargent in the United States Air Force Reserve and retired after 20 years of service to our country. The family would like to extends special thanks to the staff at Greenbriar at the Altamont for their exceptional care and support during Jimmie's stay with them.

Jimmie was preceded in death by his parents, G.B. and Goldie Garner and a sister, Carole Hurst and her husband Paul Hurst.

Jimmie is survived by two brothers, Grandville B. Garner, Jr. and Phillip R. Garner and his wife Kathy Garner; three sisters, Sarah Lane and her husband Paul Lane, Sherry Taylor and her husband Jimmy Taylor and Rita Castlebery and her husband Joe Castlebery; many other family members and a host of friends.

Celebration of Life services for Jimmie will be held Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel, 2029 Decatur Highway, Gardendale, AL 35071. A time of visitation will begin at 1:00 PM; funeral service at 2:00 PM, followed by his burial at Bethel Methodist Cemetery, 9417 Thermal Road, Warrior, AL.
