Jessie Mae Moore, age 86 of Gardendale, AL passed away on Saturday, February 20, 2016. She grew up in Blount County and was a longtime resident of Gardendale, AL. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rufus Eugene “Gene” Moore; parents, Felix J. and Etta C. Hays; brothers, James E. Hays and George W. Hays; and a sister, Dixie H. McCown. She is survived by her daughters, Gloria Howse (Wade) and Cindy Moman (David); grandchildren, Jeffrey Howse (Tina), David Howse (Sarah), Jessica Moman, and Justin Moman (Cassidy); her great grandchildren, Maura, Jackson, Ava, Jasper, Sadie Howse, and Jaxon Moman.
Services will be held on Tuesday, February 23rd from Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel at 2 PM with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Oakwood Memorial Gardens. Rev. Thomas Graves will officiate.
