Jean Collins Wilson

Born March 8, 1950, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 12, 2012. Jean was a member of Spring Hill Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents: Julian A. and Sadie B. Collins; her brother, Julian C. Collins; and her sister, Christine Hooper. Jean is survived by her loving husband of 43 years, Don Wilson; 2 sons: Jonathan “Red” Wilson

(Leslie) and Jeremy Wilson; 2 daughters: Donna Gonzales (Robert) and Kristi Appling; 8 grandchildren: Blake Gonzales, Dustin Gonzalez, Kayleigh Gonzales, Peyton Appling, Mackenzie Appling, Hunter Appling, Riley Wilson, and Macey Hope Wilson; 4 brothers: Donald Collins (Mary), Harry W. Collins (Carrie) Tommy Collins (Sandra), and Robert Collins (Debbie); 3 sisters: Betty Clark (Ed), Barbara Wilson, and Eddie Smith (Mike); her brother-in-law, Ron Wilson(June); and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel on Friday, December 14, 2012 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, December 15, 2012 beginning at 2:00 PM; with interment in Oakwood Memorial Gardens.
