Jane was an American who loved her country and she was proud of her son who served and fought for this country's rights. Proud of her daughter who left the nest and adventured to many places bringing laughter and loyal friendship to those she met.
Jane's devotion went to her community, her work life, and her neighbors. She was loyal, stubborn, and hard headed, but she would give to anyone in need. She loved her animals; dogs, cats, birds, fish, squirrels, well except for the ferret, I can still hear her say, "Greenlee, get this darn ferret."
Jane was preceded in death by her parents, Kermit Clay and Gladys Dixon Clay and her husband, James Isaac Greenlee I.
Jane is survived by her daughter, Tina Greenlee and husband, William Riley of Walton, Kentucky; her son, James Isaac Greenlee, II; nine siblings, Edward, J.C., Johnny, Jackie, Joe Gilbert, Judy, Joan, Debbie, and Betsy; two grandchildren, Chevy Riley and Summer Riley; many other family members and a host of friends.
Celebration of Life services for Jane will be held Sunday, January 9, 2022 at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel, 2029 Decatur Highway, Gardendale, AL, with a time of visitation to begin at 1:00 PM; funeral service at 2:00 PM, followed by her burial in Castle Heights Cemetery, 6695 Castle Heights Road, Morris, AL.
