James was preceded in death by his parents, James Etheridge Stewart and Lyndel Dyer Stewart; sisters, Mildred Garrett, Mary Joyce Stewart and Marie Beasley. He is survived by a brother Daniel Stewart.
James was a member of Republic Baptist Church. An avid fan of the Auburn Tigers, he spent his time always keeping everything fixed and working right.
A visitation for James will be held Saturday, January 14, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel in the Firerside Parlor, 2029 Decatur Highway, Gardendale, AL 35071. Following the visitation will be a graveside service at 2:00 PM at Friendship Community Cemetery, Church Road, Gardendale, AL 35071.
