James Marlin Shaw

James retired from Rust Engineering and he also was a Navy veteran. He married the love of his life, Jane Guthrie, in 1957.

James is survived by his son, Rodger Guthrie and daughter, Shirley Hightower; three grandchildren, Lisa Guthrie, Jason (Sandy) Guthrie and Jody (Diona) Hightower.

James was preceded in death by his wife, Jane Shaw, his grandson, Jamey Hightower and great grandson, Travis Hightower.

Celebration of Life Services for James will be held on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 with a time of visitation at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel in the Fireside Room beginning at 10:00 AM, followed by a Graveside Service at the Mausoleum in Oakwood Memorial Gardens at 11:00 AM. Bro. Mark Barber of East Gardendale Baptist Church will officiate the service.
