of Gardendale, born February 18, 1920, passed away July 15, 2011 at the age of 91. He retired from the U.S. Post Office in 1980. Mason is survived by his wife of 65 years, Catherine Carroll; children: Marcia Tucker (Bob) of Pell City, Becky Cook of Birmingham, Glen Carroll (Wanda) of Tarrant, and Lynn Herring (Rickey) of Gardendale; grandchildren: Christy Stiffler (Brian), Heather Schroeder (L.T.), Leigh Ann Wilson (Devin), Justin Cook, Jonathan Cook, Catherine Cain (Matt), Amanda Gilley (Eric), LaDonna Baggett (Chris), James Carroll (Jessica), Charles Carroll, Jamey Hollifield (Brad), and Adam Herring; and 7 great grandchildren.
