Homer Reid Golden, Jr (Butch), age 67, from Morris Alabama passed away on September 1, 2020. He is preceded in death by his father, HR Golden, Sr.: mother, Maxine Thomas Golden; and brother in law, Joe Tom Gentry. He is survived by his sisters, Reida G. Densmore (Frank) and Dianne Gentry, nieces Lee Beasley (John) and Beth Briggs (Andon); nephew, Tom Densmore (Veronica). Great Nieces and Nephews, Allie Hoadley(Jordan), Paige Beasley, Maggie Beasley, Meagan Densmore, Banks Beasley, Caitlyn Densmore, Parker Briggs, Gentry Briggs and Alma Densmore; Great great nephew, Brooks Hoadley. Along with a host of family and friends. He was a long time member of Norwood Baptist Church and a current member of Glennwood Baptist Church. He was born at Carraway Methodist Hospital and lived in Norwood. He attended McArthur Elementary School and Phillips High school. He graduated from Mortimer Jordan High School. He attended Troy University. He was an active member of the Eagles, Pratt City. He worked at CSX railroad. Uncle Butch was a loving brother and uncle. He loved his home on Lake Martin. He was always happy to welcome family and friends. Butch left a large footprint, He was so loved and will be always be missed. A Graveside Service will be Friday, September 4, 2020, at 2:00 PM at Glennwood Baptist Cemetery, Morris, Alabama. Pallbears will be, Frank Densmore, John Beasley, Andon Briggs, Tom Densmore, Banks Beasley, Parker Briggs, Alex Rawlins, Jordan Hoadley. Honorary Pallbears will be, Glennwood Baptist Church Members, Eagles Pratt City Members, Dr. Mark Adams, nurses in Brookwood CCU, Jimmy McCombs, Jeff Fant, Joe Thomasen, David and Becky Yeager, Marcia Abernathy Adkins, Jo Jo Yeager, Cathy Denson, Judy and George Holcombe.
