Hollis McAnally Hardin

Hollis Marie McAnally Hardin, age 81 of Ashville, Alabama was born January 1, 1935 and passed away on Sunday, August 28, 2016. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and sister who was very much loved and will be greatly missed. Mrs. Hardin was preceded in death by her husband, Hank Hardin; parents, James Henry McAnally and Mamie Jane McAnally; siblings, Bertie Mae Skinner, Lois Irene Beck, Thomas Howard McAnally, Billy Ray McAnally, Rosa Lee Butera, and Charles Earl McAnally; her children, Charles Henry Writesman and Charles Murray Writesman; sons-in-law, Michael Thompson, Sonny Hensley, and Jack Gilliland; a great grandchild, Bradley. She is survived by her sister, Mary Frances Daniels; her loving children, Joan Thompson, Deborah Stemen (Ron Steman), Kathleen Hensley, Lori Tomkins (Greg Tompkins), Patty Gilliland, Michael Writesman, Rosemary Ryan (Russell Ryan), Becky Clayton (Brad Clayton), Debbie Ellis (Norton Ellis), Bruce Hardin (Alma Hardin); grandchildren, Michelle Steen (Kyle), Lisa Thompson (Brandon Donohue), Missy Patel (Ketan), Gary Steman (Debbie Ciaccio), Timothy Steman, Brieana Steman, Genie Mull, Jenna Hensley, Jennifer Childers (Shannon),Angela White, Brett Tompkins (Ranee), Kristy Pickett (Jeremy), Matthew Ryan (Lynette), John Glass, Connor Glass, Alex Glass, Kelsey Ryan, Holly Player, April Smith (Scott), Christy Morgan (Danny), and Rachel Hardin; great grandchildren, Michael, Alexis, Austin, Jacob, Caitlyn, Aidan, Emily, Talon, Muhleke, Maleiha, Joshua, Ryan, Caleb, Isaac, Brieana, Aires, Samuel, Lochlan, Ainslee, Aubrielle, Viktor, Braiden, Gracie Lynn, Memphis, Karli, Kiley, Jaci, Baby Player, Ivy, Randi, Karli,Bryson, Brandon, Xavier, Alondra, and Jair.

A visitation will be held Tuesday, August 30th at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel from 6 until 8 pm. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at Ashville First Baptist Church at 11 AM with a visitation at the church beginning at 10.
