Hildred Carpenter, age 82 of Birmingham, AL passed away on Wednesday, September 28, 2016. She was a wonderful and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who was very much loved and will be greatly missed. She always put the needs of her family before her own. She was born in Franklin County, Alabama and was a member of the Parkview Church of God in Gardendale. Mrs. Carpenter worked in the Dry Cleaning business for several years in the Birmingham area. She is survived by her husband, Cleon “Buddy” Carpenter; her children, Patricia Reames (Samuel), Kenneth Carpenter (Dawn), and Michael Carpenter; her grandchildren, Sarah Reames Heilman (Chris), Cecelia Reames, Samuel Reames, James Reames, Briggette Carpenter Dunn (Chad), and step-grandchild, Shaun Strickland; and six great grandchildren.
A visitation will be held Friday, September 30th from 2 until 4 PM at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel with a family graveside service on Saturday.
