Helen "Louise" Price was born June 27, 1926 in Cullman, Alabama. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend to all who knew her. She grew up in Cullman AL where she attended Cullman High School and was valedictorian of her senior class. She and her husband, Bill, raised their family in Birmingham and were members of Hunter Street Baptist Church. They later lived in Vestavia and the Highland Lakes Community of Chelsea until his death. Louise enjoyed 10 years as a resident of Danberry Retirement Community in Birmingham.
In earlier years, she was involved in activities at Clark Memorial Theatre where she shared her talents as a gifted seamstress and organizer. She was an avid gardener, often considered the resident plant doctor, and was always surrounded by flowers and nature.
Mrs. Price is preceded in death by her parents, Luther and Alma Parker of Cullman; brother Howard Parker and Sister Jean Kannaday; and her husband of 62 years, William Thomas “Bill” Price.
Survivors include her son, Tom Price; daughter, Denise Price Cannon; granddaughter Kim Cannon McDaniel and husband, Jason S McDaniel; great granddaughter, Kameryn McDaniel; sister, Dot Waters and brothers, Conrad and Joe Parker.
A private memorial service will be held for Helen “Louise” Parker Price of Birmingham, AL this Saturday, December 5th, 2020 at 2:30pm at the Oakwood Memorial Garden Chapel in Gardendale. Mrs. Price died on Wednesday, December 2nd, 2020 at the age of 94.
