Harold Lamar Reese

The Reese family quartet was reunited in heaven on Monday January 6th at 7:15 am upon the passing of Harold Reese age 85 of Bradford, Alabama. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ed and Nell Reese, and siblings George Reese and Virginia Reese Hagood. He is survived by his wife of sixty years, Peggy Hartley Reese, his sister, Margaret Reese Wilkerson (Bud), 3 chosen grandchildren, John Michael, Katie, and Caleb O'Toole, and a host of nieces, nephews and cherished friends.

Harold was a member of Hughes Memorial Baptist Church where he was a deacon and served as minister of music for several years as well as serving in numerous other roles throughout his lifetime. He was noted to have preached the gospel each and every day of his life by his Godly example. Harold was an educator and served as an elementary school principal for many years in the Jefferson County School System. He was known for his gentle spirit and was beloved and respected by all who had the pleasure of passing his way. A Celebration of his Life will be held at 1:00 pm Friday 01/10/2020 at Hughes Memorial Baptist Church, 8786 Bradford Trafford Road Pinson, AL. with burial to follow at Oakwood Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 11:00 am till 1:00 pm at the church on Friday 01/10/2020. Dr. David Spray and Pastor Rick Hinkle officiating. John's Ridouts of Gardendale, AL directing.
