Glenda Joy Davis

On Thursday morning, April 21st, Glenda Joy Davis, passed away peacefully in her sleep at the age of 74. Glenda had been a resident of Covenant Place in Gardendale for several years. During her time there, she made many friends and even met a great niece that was unaware worked there. Glenda was very outspoken and had a personality that urged anyone she met to want to spend more time with her. She always had a story to tell.

Glenda was very proud of her family. She worked hard all of her life to provide for her two sons, Keith and John. Glenda was preceded in death by her mother Ruby Witt, father Frank Witt, sisters Mary Witt and Ruby Higginbotham, her granddaughter Alandra Davis. She is survived by her sons Keith Davis (Jana) and John Davis (Beverly); Brother Frankie Witt (Jean) and many many friends and relatives who loved her dearly.

The family would like to thank all the employees and residents at Covenant Place, Gardendale for the love and care they extended to Glenda during her years there.

A visitation will be held on Monday, April 25th from 12:30 – 1:30 PM with a service immediate following. Interment will be at Dailey’s Chapel in Rosa, Alabama.
