Mrs. Emma Ruth Biggers passed away Sunday, September 6th peacefully in Gardendale, Alabama. She was born January 18, 1929 in Albany, Georgia. The daughter of the late Roy Vincent Cherry and Florence Mallard Cherry.
She was a loving wife and devoted mother. Retired from Washington National Life Insurance Company in 1990. She was a long time member of Gulf Beach Presbyterian Church, Panama City Beach, Florida where she assisted in the community church food pantry program.
Mrs. Biggers is survived by her beloved husband of 71 years, Stephen T. Biggers, III of Atlanta, Georgia; daughter, Terry Biggers Smith (Randy) of Hayden, Alabama; son, Stephen T. Biggers, IV (Linda) of Indianapolis, Indiana; grandchildren, Melissa Smith Starling (Dr. Anderson Starling) of Martin, Tennessee, Courtney Biggers Hertel (Tim), Lindsay Biggers and Stephanie Biggers of Indianapolis, Indiana; great grandchildren, Thomas Hertel and Clark Starling.
Mrs. Biggers is preceded in death by her brother, John V. Cherry; sisters, Mary Nance, Betty Houston and Claire Granado.
She will be laid to rest in Crest Lawn Memorial Park, Atlanta, Georgia
