Mr. Buckelew was preceded in death by his father, Edgar Buckelew; mother, Evelyn Posey; step father, James Posey also by brothers, Jerry Buckelew and Gene Buckelew.
Survivors include daughters, Georgia Hunt and Tammy Buckelew (Jeff Whitmire); grandchildren, James Buckelew (Tiffany Hicks), Zena Strickland (Caleb Cupp), and Justin Hunt; great grandchildren, Madison, Chloe, Kenzie, Emorie, Linley, Jasper, Ryder and Tallon.
Edwin's passions included the University of Alabama Crimson Tide football and anything to do with the lake or beach.
A visitation for Edwin will be held Friday, January 26, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel, 2029 Decatur Highway, Gardendale, AL 35071, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM.
