Debra Sue “Debbie” Benton, a resident of Gardendale, AL, was born in Birmingham, AL, on May 5, 1965 and she passed away at home on August 17, 2017 at the age of 52. Debbie was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and she enjoyed listening to music as she took care of her home and family.
Debbie was preceded in death by her mother, Anna Sue Jones and a son, Micheal Scott McMurrey. She is survived by her father, Printice McDonald (Connie); her husband of 12 years, Ed Benton; her children, Wes McMurrey, Erick McMurrey, Brook Benton, and Jake Benton, brother, Scott McDonald; sister, Jennifer McDonald, grandchildren, uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, and nephews and a host of friends.
Services will be at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel with a visitation on Wednesday, August 23, 2017 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm; funeral services on Thursday, August 24, 2017 at 11:00am followed by her burial in Hopewell Cemetery, Pinson, AL.
